I have known Mark for the last 8 years. Mark was an employee who worked for me at Filterfresh when I was a Vice President of US Operations.
Mark has demonstrated a successful track record of driving sales and development. He is a hands’ on leader who is energized by driving towards objectives while setting and achieving ambitious goals. He has a strong foundation in sales fundamentals; leadership and strong customer relationship building, that combined, deliver mutual gains for all parties. He has strong listening skills, communication and negotiation skills combined with problem solving.
Here Mark demonstrated the ability to manage a P&L, business plans and set targets. He is a savvy individual who has demonstrated success in roles that necessitate engaging with others in finance, supply chain, customer service and marketing.
Working with others:
Mark is able to collaborate with others that do not directly report to him by influencing others through creditability, persuasion, substance and passion, rather than direct authority in matrices and cross functional environments. He is a open communicator who posses that stature and demeanor to develop and sustain the confidence of others.
He leads with passion and energy while developing, retaining and energizing a high performance team to achieve stretch goals. He is able to adapt and invest time to guide, coach and develop the team. He is confident in making tough organizational decisions as appropriate by knowing he has made an impact on the individual’s life and or career.

Mark Heuer was the General Manager at 460 Englewood Ave Atlanta, Ga. 30315 back in 2000 or 2001. I held the position of Office Manager at that location and reported directly to Mark Heuer. Mark has strong analytical and planning skills, combined with the ability to motivate others in a Team effort to accomplish goals or tasks set before him. He is diplomatic in relating to co-workers and the public; balances a positive, outgoing personality with professionalism and courtesy. If given the opportunity, I would love to work for Mark again. He held everyone accountable for their areas of management but was always there to train, guide or suggest improvements that would benefit the branch. I highly recommend him.

Mark is a hands-on leader and manager who gets the job done and takes care of his Team. He is a value added and gives any organization a competitive advantage.
I was a Vice President / General Manager and a mentor as well as a peer as we served together in National Linen Service where Mark was placed in an Area Manager role and in operations that needed to be turned around financially, operationally and culturally. He always exceeded performance expectations. His willingness to relocate geographically to the difficult plants is indicative of his selfless service ethic.
I also recruited Mark to join our KBR Team in Iraq where we provided all logistics services to all the US and Allied Forces in the Middle East. Mark was highly successful in a key position of Logistical Supply Management in one of our most difficult areas. Most recently, he has been a key volunteer for our non profit museum here in Atlanta.
Mark has a unique operational ability to quickly analyze and then efficiently and quickly execute complex business operations. A key to his success is to rally his people and achieve results with his grass roots leadership. Mark knows that accountability, change management and collaboration/team work are essential core competencies that he must instill in his Teams. As a faith based leader, he understands that dignity and respect of teammates, customers and clients are core values that can never be compromised.
I met Mark in 2001 when we worked together at National Linens, St. Louis Plant in which I was serving as a Regional Director of Service Operations. Mark was assigned as an Area Manager / General Manager to a operating plant with significant negative profitability and cultural issues.
Mark was able to come in and instrumentally assess the situation and provide throughput rapidly to get four (4) major hospitals their orders delivered in a timely and complete fashion that previously this plant was struggling with. This was a vast change that happened quickly while he simultaneously set a new course and vision in which to take this facility to while he worked hands-on with employees’, day-in and day out. I also recall visiting the key health care / hospital accounts and Mark having a unique style to be able to listen and interact and various levels of management. Mark systematically put a long term corrective action plan together that was bought into by key executives that previously wanted to quit. Mark was instrumental in saving these accounts and aligning key contract renewals.
I saw Mark touch on all phases of the business unit; from Mechanical Engineering, Customer Service, Distribution, Production and Sales & Service with a leadership style of collaboration and gravitating people to personal accountability to the vision set forth. I saw mark grasp key business drivers financially and operationally as he took this plant and made it profitable within three (3) months. Mark set a succession plan in place to sustain his actions since he was being transferred to yet another difficult turnaround situation.
“I am happy to say that I had the pleasure to work with Mark on a consulting project. Mark is a take-charge person who is able to present creative ideas and communicate the benefits. Mark effectively assumed a leadership role on this project, interfacing with the CEO to assist in quantifying and identifying necessary areas of focus while offering thoughtful and insightful advice on the best handling of the company's needs. Mark offered greatly needed direction to this start up company. He picked up on the need for a skilled, tactful organizer, and effortlessly stepped into that role while bringing his prodigious native ability for marketing to the forefront. Mark's steady influence provides a powerful inspirational and motivating force while making the space for each colleague to achieve at their maximum potential. Mark Heuer is a creative thinker as well as a team player and would make a highly valuable asset to any organization.”

“Mark Heuer is one of the most innovative professionals I’ve met. His operations titles are very unassuming compared to the many hats that Mark has the ability and skills to wear. Mark is a fearless and creative marketing professional who is not afraid to push the envelope to get results and customers. He can quickly compute the big picture while instantly drilling down to the details of problem solving. What rounds Mark out as a professional is his intuitive connection to people, his respect for all levels, and his integrity. Mark is one of the most astute operations professionals in the marketplace today.”
“Mark is a tremendous person who readily shares his knowledge and boundless optimism. He guided me through the process of starting my company in a fashion and at a pace that matched my needs exactly. I highly recommend Mark as I believe he would be a valued addition to any company.”
“I am very pleased to have the opportunity to share my perspective and provide a recommendation for Mark Heuer Mark Heuer has earned my resounding endorsement. As a peer I worked with Mark in Camp Bucca near Umm Qasr, Iraq and based on my observation, conversations and interactions I know Mark to be a serious professional. I watched Mark master the requirements of his job in logistics supply management and exceed fulfilling his responsibilities to both KBR and his customers internally and externally. I can attest that Mark produced two to three times the volume of work of his peers, and he did so in an extremely difficult, and often at times in an unfriendly environment. Mark met working 7 days a week, 12 hours a day for months on end with quality. To my knowledge Mark never missed a deadline, and did so because he was willing to invest a high level of personal energy, detail and commitment. Mark was always seeking ways to step up and take on more responsibilities in and outside his department where he could effectively assist others unselfishly. From working with Mark Heuer I discovered an individual with so much capability and a person with great business acumen, business strategy management, corporate culture and dynamics of change management. I believe Mark’s career experiences has prepared him well and because Mark is driven by results I believe he would quickly become a very active contributor and a welcome addition to any management Team.” December 17, 2009

“Mark was an exceptional manager for NLS. His attention to details in his budget, profitability and personnel management was among the best in a 12 plant region. Mark is passionate about his responsibilities and that carried over well with his direct reports. Mark did not require close supervision and I could always count on his plant's P&L performance.” December 7, 2009
